Usage Dashboard

Your word usage is tracked in the Billing & Usage section of your dashboard sidebar. This gives you a clear, real-time view of how much of your monthly word budget you have consumed and how much remains.

The usage panel is designed to keep you informed without getting in the way. A quick glance tells you where you stand for the current billing period.

Current Period Stats

The top of the billing screen displays your usage summary for the active period:

  • Words used / total budget — Shows exactly how many words you have generated against your plan's monthly limit (for example, 42,350 / 70,000 words on the Author plan)
  • Visual progress bar — A fill indicator that gives you an at-a-glance sense of consumption
  • Remaining words — The number of words still available before your budget resets
  • Renewal date — When your current period ends and your budget resets to full

These numbers update as you use the platform, so you always have an accurate picture of your capacity.

Usage Over Time

As you work through your billing period, your usage grows with each book you generate, each chapter drafted, and each editorial pass that produces refined content. Tracking this over multiple months helps you understand your typical production volume and choose the right plan.

If you consistently use only a fraction of your budget, a smaller plan might be a better fit. If you regularly come close to the limit, upgrading gives you more breathing room.

Approaching Your Limit

When your word usage nears your monthly budget, plan your remaining projects carefully. You can still use the editor, make manual edits, adjust designs, and export existing books — only new AI-generated content draws from your word budget.

If you hit your limit before the renewal date and need additional capacity immediately, you can upgrade to a higher plan. The upgrade takes effect right away, giving you the larger budget for the remainder of your billing period.
