The Dashboard Overview

The dashboard is your home screen in Authorio. It shows all of your book projects in one place and provides quick access to every part of the platform.

The left sidebar contains the main navigation for your workspace:

  • New book — Starts a new book project and opens the vision brief screen
  • All books — Returns to the dashboard view showing all your projects
  • Team — Manage workspace members and roles
  • Billing & usage — View your current plan, word usage, and subscription details

At the bottom of the sidebar, you will find:

  • Account — Your personal account settings
  • Help center — Access to documentation and support

Project Cards

The main area of the dashboard displays your book projects as a grid of cards. Each project card shows:

  • Cover thumbnail — A preview of your book's cover design
  • Book title — The name of your project
  • Last edited time — When you last worked on this project (e.g., "2h ago", "1d ago", "1w ago")

Click any project card to open it in the editor, where you can continue working on its content, cover, or theme.

Creating a New Project

To start a new book, click New book in the sidebar. This takes you to the vision brief screen where you describe your book idea and the pipeline begins. Your new project will appear in the dashboard grid once you have submitted your brief.

Grid Layout

Projects are displayed in a responsive grid that adjusts based on your screen size. The most recently edited projects appear first, so the books you are actively working on are always easy to find.
