What Share Links Are
A share link is a public URL that lets anyone view your book in their browser without needing an Authorio account. When you generate a share link, Authorio creates a unique web address where your book is presented with a custom background, giving readers a polished, branded viewing experience.
Share links are ideal for situations where you want someone to read your book immediately, without downloading a file or installing an app.
Generating a Share Link
To create a share link for your book:
- Open the export panel from your book's editor
- Select Share Link from the available format options
- Click the export button to generate the link
- Copy the URL and send it to your intended audience
The link is active as soon as it is generated. Anyone with the URL can access and read your book.
Custom Background Options
Share links include a custom background that frames your book's content when viewed in the browser. This background gives the reading experience a more professional and visually appealing look compared to a plain white page. The background complements your book's design, creating a cohesive presentation for your readers.
Sharing with Clients and Your Audience
Share links are useful across a range of scenarios:
Client Review
If you are creating a book for a client -- whether as an agency, ghostwriter, or consultant -- a share link lets them review the full manuscript in their browser. They do not need to download any files or create an account. Send the link via email or message and they can start reading immediately.
Audience Distribution
Share your book with your email list, social media followers, or community members by including the link in newsletters, posts, or direct messages. This is especially effective for lead magnets and free resources where you want to minimize friction between your audience and your content.
Quick Previews
When you need feedback quickly, a share link eliminates the back-and-forth of file attachments. Share the URL in a conversation and the other person can open it in seconds.
Portfolio and Showcasing
Include share links on your website or portfolio to demonstrate your published work. Visitors can browse your book directly without any downloads.
